Direct sale of handicrafts by the women of Patacancha
The ECOINKA team has been renewing conversations with the artisans (weavers) of the communities of Patakancha and Chalwakocha to reopen the sale of their handicrafts directly to the tourists that stay at our private camp at Km 82. These weavers are mainly wives, children and relatives of the Porters that work with us on the Inca Trail and they sell their products directly to the tourist, in most cases the tourist can purchase directly from the same artisan that made the weaving making it an authentic and sustainable transaction.
