All Inclusive Inca Trail To Machu Picchu 8D/7N



This all inclusive itinerary is designed to give our passengers two days of introduction into Inca culture, visiting the most important sites in the city of Cusco and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Also gives you plenty of acclimatization time: You have a previous enjoyable night's rest at our private campsite 'Km. 82 Inca Trail Shelters' with access to the firewood sauna, hot showers and toilets. Once in the trail we gain altitude slowly with 2 short days (Days 3 & 4) and balance out the distances and effort in the rest of the days trekking.

DAY 1 - CUSCO

Arrive in Cusco and we meet you at the airport to transfer you to the Hotel located near downtown within close reach of the main plaza. A warm Coca tea will ease up your adaptation to the high altitude (Cusco is at 11,200 feet above sea level) before you settle in your room to rest for what is left of the morning (highly recommended). Lunch is on your own (we recommend a light meal) and we meet at 2 p.m. for a guided City tour and nearby ruins of Cusco. In the evening a welcome dinner with show at local restaurant is included. D.

DAY 2 - SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS

After breakfast we leave Cusco by road for a full day guided visit to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit the colonial town and Inca City of Pisac, with a chance to shop at the local Indian Market. Later we'll travel by road following the sacred Urubamba or Vilcanota River. We drive pass the town of Urubamba, then continue on to Ollantaytambo, have lunch and take time to visit the impressive Inca remains there. Later we proceed down the Sacred Valley to our private campsite at Km. 82. enjoy a Pachamanca dinner (cooked in the ground) and camp for the night... B,L,D.

DAY 3 - INCA TRAIL, KM 82 TO TO PAUCARCANCHA

Early morning a plentiful buffet breakfast is served. We meet our porters, distribute the loads, we register with authorities at the entrance to the trail and begin our trek following the left bank of the Urubamba River. After a couple of hours of gentle hiking we reach and visit the Inca ruins of Llactapata, we continue hiking, this time away from the Urubamba river ascending and following a stream towards the village of Huayllabamba, we have a picnic lunch nearby and continue ascending to a 40 min. detour from the main trail that will take us to Paucarcancha a magnificent archaeological site and right next to it a locally owned private campsite where we set up camp for the evening. DAY 4 - INCA TRAIL, PAUCARCANCHA TO PACAYMAYU

After enjoying the beauty of our campsite and a nutritious breakfast we begin hiking on a shortcut trail past Huayllabamba, register at the Park’s control station to continue on an ascending trail that takes us to our lunch spot with fantastic views. Later we pass through an interesting protected cloud forest of native trees before reaching our lunch site at Llullucchapampa right before the high pass known as Dead Woman's Pass or "Warmiwañusta". Spectacular views lead our way in the afternoon as we reach the Pass at 4,200 meters to later descend to our campsite at Pacaymayu. B,L,D.

DAY 5 - INCA TRAIL, PACAYMAYU TO PHUYUPATAMARCA

An early nourishing breakfast bolsters our energy for day's hike in the original cobblestone paved trail left by the Incas. We can appreciate the lovely changes in vegetation and geology as we pass through different ecological zones. We climb up and over the second high pass at 3,950 Mts. On a clear day, our efforts are rewarded with unparalleled views of the snow covered peaks of the Cordillera Vilcabamba and the lush valley vegetation. Masterful Inca engineering is today's highlight along the trail as we discover the Inca remains of Sayajmarca at 3,640 Mts., explore them and continue to the incomparable site of Phuyupatamarca, THE PLACE ABOVE THE CLOUDS at 3,680 Mts. We camp here and have enough time to soak up some of the magical charm of this marvellous campsite. B,L,D.

DAY 6 - INCA TRAIL, PHUYUPATAMARCA TO MACHU PICCHU

Today we reach Machu Picchu, the lost City of the Incas. After taking a short time to say good by to our camp crew and fortified with breakfast, we hike an easier trail for several hours down a clear stone paved road with several incredible stairways, some with many steps carved into a single stone, a small tunnel and several viewing terraces, then we come to the ruins of "Wiñay Wayna" or "Forever Young", we have a picnic lunch. We continue on to “Inti Punku” that translates into “The Gate Of The Sun”; from here we first see the spectacular city of Machu Picchu below us. After taking time to take pictures and soak in the spectacular view, a quick descent along the wide royal Inca road and we enter the mysterious citadel to spend some time wandering and wondering in the midst of its eternal beauty. In the evening we stay at a small hotel in the town of Aguas Calientes nearby. B,L.

DAY 7 - MACHU PICCHU

You have a full day to either savor and appreciate Macchu Picchu on your own or relax at the hot springs nearby and in the afternoon you board the train to return to Cusco (We Pick up you in Poroy Train Station a few minutes of Cusco City). Arrive in Cusco and transfer to your hotel in Cusco. B

OPTION "A": You have the option to request for your guide to stay one more day with you to return with him to Machu Picchu for further explanations on the site and to visit other areas of Machu Picchu like Huaynapichu or the Temple of the Moon. In the afternoon return by train to Cusco.

Please Note: This option must be requested before the trip begins in order to make the previous arrangements necessary.

DAY 8

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight from Cusco. End of our services. B

OPTION "B": Arrive in Lima and transfer you to a day room at Hotel in Miraflores. In the afternoon tour of the famous Gold Museum in Lima. Late evening transfer from your hotel to the airport in Lima for your flight home. B. (Lunch and dinner on your own).

Price Includes:

  • All accommodations in mentioned hotels and top quality tents.
  • All airport transfers described in itinerary.
  • Entrance to the Inca trail ($74.00).
  • All meals marked as B, L, D at the end of each day in the itinerary.
  • Service of local official guides.
  • Service of camp staff: Cook, assistants, porters.
  • Use of the Sauna (to start the trail, clean, purified, and relaxed) at our private Camp Km. 82.
  • All group camping and cooking equipment: Passenger tents based in double occupancy. Dinning tent with tables, silverware and chairs. Toilet tent with biodegradable chemical toilet.

Price Does Not Include:
Internal flights, any meals not specified after each itinerary day, airport departures taxes, optional tipping or gratuities to staff, additional hotel nights that may be necessitated by airline schedule changes or other factors, entrance nor buses to and from Machu Picchu on day 7th, expenses such as medical immunizations (if any), travel insurance, and other expenses of a personal nature (liquor, laundry, and so on.) Trip member must provide sleeping bag. (please note that sleeping bags can also be rented for $4 per day).

Please Note:
Our trips are budgeted for a full or nearly full sign up. To avoid having to cancel trips with few members we charge more for smaller groups, to cover fixed costs of the trip. Cost are based on double occupancy, if you are traveling alone and wish to have single accommodations you must pay a single supplement fee. If you are willing to share accommodations we will match you with a roommate if one is available. If you are willing to share accommodations but we cannot find you a roommate you have to pay the "forced single supplement" that is 75% of the single supplement cost.
